Costume making for ACE Dance Company

I took part in ACE Dance and Music Company’s carnival production, learning how carnival costumes are made and what is important to know while designing and making the costumes.

As a costume maker and dyer in this project, I got an opportunity to carry out wide range of tasks. My main duties were sewing some of the wings and dresses, gradient dyeing the skirts and doing some costume decorating. ACE Dance and Music Company won the Best Troupe 2017 award in the Leeds West Indian Carnival.
